Winter at the Lake

We stopped by the Cisco Disco today. It 5 dollars to get in they can fry them up with pancake batter. They are pretty good! You are allowed 30 fish with a fishing license.

We then went over to garden city  to the polar plunge at 12 it looked really cold!

Cisco Disco

We get to move in to our new lake house in January during that same month there are a few activities that we could go enjoy! One of these is the Cisco Disco and Polar Plunge. There is also some ice skating that same day over in Garden City.

The Bonneville Cisco are endemic to Bear Lake and there are something like 9 million fish in the lake. You can just cut a hole in the ice and dip net the fish that come to the shallow water to spawn. The limit on the fish is 30 fish.

I also looked up some recipes for the Bonneville Cisco. Which look crazy good! http://backcountryutah.blogspot.com/2011/01/three-easy-fried-cisco-recipes.html
you can clean them and cook them right on the ice! Looks like a fun time!

The Buy.

We just bought the house including the raspberry patch to the south!
Its a great purchase with access to the mountains and the lake.
It will be a wonderful place for the family to meet on holidays and weekends!
We are already thinking about the great additions that are going to be made.
I thought this would be a great place for use to put what we did
and maybe even things that we need and repairs that need to be made at the house!
